Amy Patterson

Amy Patterson has nearly 14 years in the animal health industry in sales management and product sales for large and companion animal markets. She exceeded sales quotas for double digit growth with the same customer base for 8 consecutive years.  She was able to collaborate with distribution and manufacturing partners to generate multi- million dollar sales in all 3 animal health companies she has worked for.

Amy attributes her strong sales performance to her upbringing on an Iowa farm and working at the local mixed animal practice for six years prior to college.  This background allowed her to empathize with animal owners and help the Veterinarian’s grow their business by addressing their clients’ needs.  This ability to connect worked equally well within small accounts as well as helping make big picture recommendations on industry trends for large national accounts.

Amy started her work on the human side working for Pfizer pharmaceuticals in 2003 and was able to earn a promotion to the animal health division in 2006. She managed a newly created territory on the Western Slope of Colorado. In this setting she established customer relationships that provided Pfizer and later Zoetis with the 8 year growth mentioned above, across all product lines.   In 2014 she was awarded Industry Partner of the Year by her Veterinarian customers.

Amy’s skills as a mentor and teammate earned her 5 years in leadership roles for GlobalVetLINK and Vet2Pet App Builders. In addition to training and supporting direct reports, her management roles required building infrastructure in these start- up companies to support their customers from B2B and B2C.  She was the primary contact for these companies to support and train the distribution and manufacturing partners for promotion of products.

Amy has an impeccable reputation in the industry for customer centric focus, mentoring and management skills, and her ability to collaborate to substantially expand business with small accounts in new territories up to large national accounts.

In addition to achieving Zoetis President’s Circle every year from 2007 to 2014 Amy was awarded their Master’s award in 2012 and 2013 for exemplary territory management and building business skills. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

Outside of work Amy’s life passion is horses. Her husband Paul and she have a small breeding operation for warmbloods. They raise, work with, and show horses every spare minute and her best riding horse is a gelding named Sarge. When time permits they enjoy camping with their horses and two dogs, Milton and Bella.
