Cody Jellis

Cody Jellis was raised in South Dakota. He graduated from the Black Hills State University with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. His love for horses developed at an early age, and out of college he began working as an assistant breeding manager for a prominent Reining Horse Farm in North Texas. This position allowed him to cross paths with LD Williams who saw potential in Cody for the equine veterinary sales industry and provided him his first opportunity.

Cody has 17 years of sales experience exclusively in the Equine Veterinary Health Market.  He is well-known throughout the industry and has established a great amount of credibility through positioning himself as one who always represents best in class products.  He has the customer insight that allows him to understand and bring to market products that will meet unmet needs of his Equine Veterinarian customers.

He is consistently a top performer. He has a great deal of product launch and sales experience in capital equipment, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and regenerative therapies. He has a national network with key opinion leaders in the industry. Cody is known as a visionary for products, and that has enabled him the opportunity to work with up-and-coming companies who are looking to break into the equine market.

His experience includes bringing SonoSite ultrasound to equine market leader status with M-Turbo, Edge, and Edge II ultrasounds. He was the #1 sales representative for 3 consecutive years for the California based VetImaging and was a 3x president’s club winner with Fujifilm SonoSite. His ability to understand the market and this unique customer has allowed him to bring success and growth wherever he goes. He is credited for the successful launch of many innovative therapeutics in equine veterinary medicine including regenerative therapies such as the original Arthrex IRAP therapy, Versatron Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, and Arteriocyte Magellan PRP system. His national customer network and market understanding enabled him to take equipment sales for Milburn Equine from 1.1 M to 3.9 M in one year as national equipment manager.

Cody sees an unmet meet in the market. The equine veterinary industry has not had a sales agency fully capable of executing sales strategies that could meet the needs of small to midsize companies wanting to enter this market. Many of these companies see a growth opportunity for their product in the animal health space, but do not have the means or knowledge to invest in their own sales and marketing team. Cody is President of metaVet and also a regional manager for Florida and the northeastern United States.

Cody recognizes that he owes a huge debt of gratitude to not only his industry contacts who have contributed their consultative services but also his fellow team members for having a similar vision and taking the leap of faith to make it happen.
